Through the retelling of the Fauna of Mirrors myth, this piece explores the relationship between the imposed standard of beauty and autonomy.
You, the audience, are part of this world that has been punished and set to live as a mimic to the humans who live on the other side of the mirror. Today is the day that you will be assigned to your partner on the other side of the mirror. The face you see in the mirror, will be your new face. Your life is now tied to their life. The face begins to move and change without your control or input. You are able to fight back and remove the changes happening to your face. Resetting the image to your normal face. As you go back and forth with the human on the other side, the interaction becomes unstable. You are fighting to regain your identity and stand the chance to be free.
